Owner Barry Friedman and his capable staff get high marks in operating a no-nonsense establishment known for a fabulous variety of libations. The Alamo‘s large beer garden is unmatched in uptown Springfield. Guests can keep current with their favorite sports programs via the Alamo’s many TV monitors, and they can try their luck at the video gaming machines.

For the past two decades the Alamo has been the host of the ICBC’s Blue Monday Showcase (that’s every Monday of the year). The Blue Monday Music Showcase is loaded with history. The Alamo’s ‘Sacred Stage’ has featured some of the best blues artists from around the world. Also, during one weekend in late August, the Alamo hosts its famous Old Capitol Blues and BBQ Festival After-Parties. The Alamo – a Springfield icon that is full of nostalgia and fun.
